Caves and potholes in the Cadí - Moixeró geological unit
An imposing limestone barrier of the Prepirineu, with walls over a thousand metres high and a high-altitude karst that hosts deep potholes.
Part of the Prepirineu major unit, dominated by calcàries (99 %). Its caves are spread across Berguedà, Alt Urgell, Cerdanya.
Catalonia has 107 catalogued cavities in the Cadí - Moixeró geological unit, including 47 potholes and 60 caves. The longest is Grallera del Carabasser (470m) and the deepest is Antic Bullidor (188m).
