A 50-metre-deep pit with three entrances at Pedraforca, Saldes.

Characteristics

Location

It is located at the Feixa Alta, above the Prat de Reo and to the SE of the Pollegó Inferior. Possibly the most suitable route to reach it is from the road leading to the Lluís Estasén refuge. The vehicle should be left at a point on the road that allows us to get past the Costes d'en Dou and reach the Feixa Alta. (In the photographs section you will find the access survey on the orthophotomap made by the colleagues of the SIE).

Description

Morphology

It has three entrances, two of them upper; the highest one descends by means of a -18 metre shaft near the second upper entrance, already inside a wide tube-shaped gallery with a steep slope interrupted only by a 3-metre drop before reaching the lower entrance.

History

The SIE of the Centre Excursionista Àliga, following information received from colleagues in the section's climbing group about the existence of cave entrances in the area, on 2 July made an incursion into the area and explored this interesting cavity.
