Description
Morphology
Although it was said to be of larger proportions, before the rains of November 1987 it could only be traversed for about 7 metres with a drop of -3 metres, where it became impracticable.
Hydrology
The torrent de la Muga is dry most of the year. Due to sudden changes in water circulation inside, the cavity constantly changes its physiognomy.
History
The cavity was discovered by the SIES on 26 September 1987; only the entrance mouth was cleared, since some blocks blocked access to it. After the heavy rains of November 1987, the cavity was left almost totally filled with materials from outside when a limestone stratum located a few metres above gave way.
