Small pit 8 metres deep at the coll de Vimboca (Gisclareny), located and explored in 1992 by the SIES d'Esplugues de Llobregat.

Location

From the village of Riu, in the Cerdanya, a track leads to the coll de Pendís; once there, one must go up along the path that, passing through the coll de Vimboca, shortly afterwards passes below a cliff of medium height. The cavity is located at the upper part of this cliff and just above a torrent. Approximate coordinates without much precision.

Description

Morphology

An entrance of medium dimensions (2X1 metres) gives way to a joint of E-W direction, where we find its base filled up by large blocks, which at -8 metres prevent continuation, allowing a glimpse of two possible continuations, pending clearance. There are two entrances of reduced dimensions that also give access to the cavity.

History

Located and explored in 1992 by the SIES d'Esplugues de Llobregat.
