The comarca of les Garrigues has 85 recorded cavities, of which 84 are caves and 1 is a pit. The known total length is 835 m and the maximum depth is 9 m. The dominant lithologies are conglomerates, present in 80 cavities, and sandstones, in 5. The comarca has 7 child units.
Among the cavities most notable for their length is the Cova dels Calaixos de l'ereldo, with 112 m of length, located in the serra de la Llena, on the boundary of Vilanova de Prades (Conca de Barberà) and el Vilosell (les Garrigues). The Cova Foradada, in la Granadella, has 41 m of length, two entrances and 6.5 m of elevation difference. Other notable cavities are the Cova d'en Pont, in Juncosa, and the Cova de l'Hostal, in la Granadella, with 18 m of depth on the E side and 6 m on the W side. The Esquerda del Riu Set, in l'Albagés, has a depth of 4.6 m and was discovered and explored in early 2025.
As for depth, the Cova dels Calaixos de l'ereldo reaches 9 m, followed by the Cova Foradada with 6 m, the Cova d'en Pont and the Esquerda del Riu Set with 5 m, and the Cova del Basté with 3 m.
