Location

Leaving la Granadella along the C-242 road towards Bellaguarda, before reaching Qm 12 we find a track on the right, this is the camí de la Cova del Moro, which we follow for 2.5 Qm, leaving forks on each side, on reaching a three-way fork of tracks, we continue straight on, we leave 2 forks on the left and one on the right, reaching a crossroads, we continue straight on reaching a transverse track, from the three-way fork of tracks we have covered 1.25 Qm. We head to the left for about 200 metres and we will see the cave.

Description

Morphology

Rock shelter 71 metres wide and 12 metres deep, structured in two superimposed levels. On the E side, there is a small dry-stone enclosure.

Progression

Here we will take a track on the left that gradually rises until reaching the Balma.

History

Known since ancient times in the area. We do not know the original name of the rock shelter; it has been named with the place name of the site where it is located.
