Cova Manuela

Balma murada a la Granadella

Granadella, La • Garrigues7m0

Walled rock shelter at La Granadella, 16 metres wide by 7 metres deep, with an outer wall that would have been used as a corral.

Characteristics

Location

On the C-233 road from La Granadella to el Soleràs, once past the ermita de Sant Antoni and just after kilometre 24, follow the track on the right, which is the camí de les Fonts dels Caus; it follows the line of the wind turbines. At 1480 metres we will turn left onto a track that we will follow for 800 metres; at this point we will pass above the cave. We will continue along the track for about 80 metres more until we reach a cultivated plot that we will have to cross as far as the cova llarga de Mateu Vidal, which lies opposite at 200 metres; we will need to continue to the left for 75 metres to reach the cova Manuela.
