A rock shelter at la Granadella, 20 metres wide and 7 metres deep, known in the area since long ago.

Characteristics

Location

From the C-233 road heading towards Bovera, at kilometre 20.19 a track leaves to the left that must be followed; at 190 metres we ignore the turn-off that descends to the right and continue straight along the main track without deviating for 550 metres. The rock shelter is 16 metres to the right of the path, on a lower level of 7 metres.

Description

Morphology

Rock shelter 20 metres wide and 7 metres deep. In front of the mouth there are several blocks of gravitational origin, some of considerable size, which prevents light from fully entering, giving rise to the toponym of the cavity.

History

Known in the area since long ago.
