Characteristics

Location

By the C-233 road towards Bovera, at kilometre 20.19 a track leaves to the left which must be followed; at 190 metres ignore the turn-off that descends to the right and continue straight along the main track without deviating for 1,135 metres; at this point turn right onto a track which we follow for 135 metres; the rock shelter is located 70 metres to the W and 9 metres below some old cultivation terraces.

Description

Morphology

Rounded rock shelter 24 metres wide and 6 metres deep.

Hydrology

On the floor of the interior there is a tank intended to collect water.

Progression

Access to the interior is through a wooden door.

Other details

This is a rather interesting walled rock shelter, as it has a stone wall that encloses it, extending about 8 metres beyond the roof of the cavity, thereby gaining considerable space.

History

Known since ancient times in the area.
