Characteristics

Location

From els Torms we will follow the paved track heading towards Bellaguarda. On reaching coll d'en Portell, where there is a junction of tracks, we will take the second one on the right. At 320 metres the track makes a 180º turn to the left. At 430 metres, at a crossroads, we continue straight on. After covering 980 metres from coll d'en Portell we will find the cave on the left of the track, easy to locate.

Description

Morphology

Cave 11 metres deep by 21 metres wide, enclosed by a dry-stone wall.

History

Known and used since ancient times. It surely must have another place name; the people who have been asked know it by this one, since in the decade of the nineteen-sixties of the last century mushrooms were cultivated there.
