Location

Going along the TP-2442 road from Sant Jaume dels Domenys to Pla de Manlleu, above km 10.5, take the turn-off towards the La Moixeta and Les Pinedes Altes urbanisation; after 1 km you reach the riera de Marmellar, where there is the turn-off towards the La Moixeta urbanisation over a bridge that crosses the riera.

The cavities are on the left hydrographic slope of the riera, opposite the bridge that crosses the riera in the direction of La Moixeta and at the base of the cliff above the road embankment.

Description

Morphology

Cave no. 1 is the largest of the group, structured in two chambers joined by a crawlway. The outer one is larger in dimensions, and the inner one has a low ceiling and ends in three long impenetrable passages.

Cave no. 2 is a small penetrable passage, rectilinear and slightly descending; halfway along its course it widens slightly to 1.7 x 1 metres in height and has two impenetrable passages that connect to the outside. The total course is 4 metres.

Cave no. 3 is only a small habitable rock shelter with a course of about 3 metres.

History

Known since time immemorial.
