Location

From the Alzina del Sal·lari we will go up to the coll de Tres Creus and before following the camí ral we will take the one that leads to the coll Estret, until we find the turnoff that descends to the Canal de Mura. About 50 metres further on we will leave it and go into the left side about 20 metres through the middle of the forest until we find the cavity.

Description

Morphology

Access to the small pit is via a short 4-metre shaft with a little difficulty due to the narrowness of a passage. One reaches a gallery about 10 metres long and a width that oscillates between 1,5 and 0,5 metres. The floor is of sand and stones, with a few blocks of clastic origin. The ceiling is irregular and well defined by a joint.

At the N end, the cavity presents a short step where we will be able to stand up. It is at this point of the cavity where we will observe a pit on the O side, very narrow, where we will only be able to sound the fall of some stone that seems to be lost 3 or 4 metres further down.

History

The cavity was located in 1990 by Jaume Claverí and Francesc Boixader (GES – CM Terrassa). A dig had to be carried out in the first metres in order to be able to access the interior. On 25 November of the same year, together with Xavier Badiella (SIS – CE Terrassa), he made the complete exploration and the survey.
