Caves and potholes in the Serra de Peracalç geological unit
A limestone range of the Pallars, in the Prepirineu, with cliffs and cavities above the valley.
Part of the Prepirineu major unit, dominated by calcàries (76 %). Its caves are spread across Pallars Sobirà, Pallars Jussà.
Catalonia has 29 catalogued cavities in the Serra de Peracalç geological unit, including 17 potholes and 12 caves. The longest is Avenc M-1 (310m) and the deepest is Avenc M-35 (68m).
