Senterada • Pallars Jussà95m9m

Cave with 95 metres of passage in Lluçà (Senterada), a spring with significant flow and +9 metres of positive elevation gain.

Characteristics

Location

From la Pobla de Segur we will follow the N-260 road towards Senterada; at kilometre 316.25 we find on the right the turn-off that will take us to the hamlet of Lluçà. From there we will continue upstream along the barranc de Sant Joan towards the E, until we find the spring located at about 1190 metres of altitude. Approximate coordinates, without much precision.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: In the editions of the military cartography of Spain (sheet 33-11), as well as that of the Alpina publishing house (Pont de Suert) from the eighties, they place the barranc de Moró (the ravine in which the GEB places the cavity), where in reality the barranc de Sant Joan is found; this is located between the hamlets of Lluçà and Reguard; while the barranc de Moró is found on the S side, of the congost d'Erinyà.

Description

Morphology

It is a spring with significant flow. Following it and in an E direction, we find a series of fossil conduits that total 95 metres of passage, with +9 metres of positive elevation gain.

Hydrology

It is a spring with significant flow.

Other details

In the survey made by the GEB it seems that the graphic scale does not correspond with the elevation gain and the passage expressed by the authors in the record. Despite this, we maintain the original survey published.

History

Known since long ago with this name by the people of Lluça. Speleologically, the first reference we have is that of the exploration carried out in 1980 by the GE Badalona, who return on 5 December 1981 to carry out the survey.
