Granera is a municipality in the Moianès with 7 catalogued caves, all of the Cave type, which together total a length of 237 m. The maximum recorded depth is 4 m. The cavities develop in two types of lithology: Conglomerate (5) and Sandstone (2).
Among the cavities most notable for their length are les Tutes, with 73 m of length, an ancient fossilized multiple spring known since time immemorial and documented speleologically in 1957. It is followed by the Cova de Can Salomó, a fossil spring of 62 m with 10 entrances and reticulate galleries excavated in Eocene limestone sandstones, and the Forat Negre, an ancient spring of 55 m documented since 1964. Other cavities are the Cova de Salvatges, of 25 m, catalogued in July 2020, and the Cova del Penitent, a shelter 44 m wide and 9.5 m in maximum depth with remains of a hermitic construction.
As for depth, les Tutes reach 4 m, the Forat Negre 3 m, and the Balmes de Salamó, the Cova de Can Salomó and the Cova de Salvatges present no drop.
