Characteristics

Location

You enter the village of Granera via the BV-1245 road coming from Castellterçol. You pass by the side of the hermitage of Santa Cecília, where you take a turn to the left, continue along the main track and follow the path that passes beside the farmhouse of la Riera. Continue always along the main track, leaving all the turnings, until you cross the torrent de Salamó; here you take the path on the left, which climbs parallel to the torrent, and then take the path on the left, which passes beside the cingles de Salamó. Right here are the rock shelters, passing beside a wall of tafonis.

Description

Morphology

These are two rock shelters, one situated at the upper part of the cliff and the other at the lower part. The upper one (Balma de can Salamó) has a length of 15 m by 6.50 m deep. The lower one (Balma del Cingle de Salamó) has a length of 22 m and 5.50 m deep.

History

Known for ever. Visited by members of the GE Badalona in July 2020 while carrying out the cataloguing work.
