Description
Morphology
It is a cavity with a complex structure, where open-air sections are combined with superimposed levels, shafts and drops. There are 4 accessible entrances marked on the survey.
Progression
If we enter through entrance number 1, we will reach a point where the cavity forks; along the left branch, we come across a shaft (a) of -14 metres; if we stop at the ledge, above the blocks we will find a comfortable passage to the other side of the joint and link up with shaft (b). Descending the whole of shaft (a), we will re-rig to make a drop of -3.70 metres; further on and going through a passage between blocks, we will descend 3.70 metres to a lower level of the joint that narrows until it prevents passage; at this point there is a draught of air.
Returning to the upper level, walking a little further we see that the joint ends and we come across shaft (b) which descends to the same sector already mentioned. If we return to the initial fork and continue to the right, we will find shaft (c) which is a dead end 4 metres deep. Continuing along the gallery we reach a chamber that has a cornice, where we find point (f), which is the start of a series of drops (R-2.30; R-2.60; R-2 and R-3), which leave us in a chamber 10x3 metres with no possibility of continuation.
Shaft (e) is descended in a re-belay of -6.50 metres to reach an ascending gallery that ends with the passage blocked by blocks.
From shaft (e), climbing up the ramp of blocks, we reach exit number 4.
Returning to the cornice and descending the R-4, a passage under rock leads us to shaft (d), which are some squeezes between blocks that trend downwards.
From shaft (d), following the joint in a SW direction, we will find entrances numbers 2 and 3.
History
Known since ancient times by the inhabitants of the area, speleologically there is knowledge of it having been visited by the CE Banyoles in the 50s of the last century (according to a note found at the bottom of the cavity). More recently it is visited by the SIRE-UE Catalunya and the SIE-CE Àliga, who surveyed it; in 1990 the GE Badalona carried out a final survey.
