Description

Morphology

The 8x5-metre entrance opens at the bottom of a doline 18 metres in diameter and 6 deep. The shaft descends 25 metres to an inclined platform that meets a parallel spindle, which connects at various points with the initial shaft. From the ledge a 10-metre shaft places us on an inclined floor of 9x2 metres.

Progression

On the West side we find some parabolt anchors with plates to install the rope (data from 2010).

Other details

At certain times of the year, both on the platform at -28 metres and at the final base, a large quantity of snow accumulates. The inclined floor of 9x2 metres has a large quantity of jackdaw guano.

History

Known since ancient times by the local people, legend has it that during a fight between two rams, they pushed the woman who was looking after them and she fell into the graller. They say that the ring she was wearing appeared at the Font de Rivert.....(how many times will we have heard a similar story in other places).

The first exploration of which there is a record was carried out by the ERE of the CEC on 4 January 1966, after having had to pay a symbolic wage to a man from Abella d'Adons to accompany them to the entrance of the cavity.

In January 2021 members of the SAM de Tremp explore a side window located in the wall of the shaft, but this ends after a few metres.

Bio
