A 20 m long cave in Adons (Pont de Suert), known since time immemorial and visited by Antoni Satorra in 2019.

Location

From Adons we will follow the path that heads S up to Portús. After covering 1.5 kilometres we will reach a flat area where there is a signpost (UTM ETRS89 coordinates 320798 – 4687801); at this point we will head left through a pasture valley following a cattle path that preferentially follows the right-hand slope of the valley. After one kilometre we will reach a small flat area free of vegetation (UTM ETRS89 coordinates 321718 – 4687532); from here we will clearly see the cave entrance. It is necessary to climb about 70 metres of elevation gain along the slope, over a distance of about 140 metres until reaching the cave.

Description

Morphology

A wide porch measuring 15x4.57 metres places us in a gallery of almost 21 metres in length, where at its midpoint a steep upward slope begins and continues to the end; the dimensions of the gallery remain constant.

History

Known in Adons since time immemorial; in fact, the large entrance is perfectly visible from this village. Speleologically it has never been catalogued.

The first reference we have of the cavity is from the visit made by Antoni Satorra at the beginning of 2019.
