Forat Bufador

Forat Bufador

Petita cavitat descendent al Montsec de Badià (Àger)

Àger • Noguera21m6m

Small descending cavity in the Montsec de Badià (Àger), located beside the path from Corçà to Sant Llorenç, in the lo Bosquet area.

Characteristics

Location

Located right beside the path from Corçà to Sant Llorenç, where it passes through the lo Bosquet area.

We will set out from Corçà along the path of les Masies; at the height of the Masia de Panyello we will take a marked trail that climbs towards the NE, then change direction to the NW and ease the ascent. From the farmhouse we will cover a stretch of approximately 1.4 km to the cavity, which is on the right of the same path.

Description

Morphology

Access to the cavity is via a small descending entrance that shortly connects, by means of a step, with a gallery that is also descending. At the end of this, there is a small chamber of more comfortable dimensions and a small step divided into two openings by a wedged block. If we descend the step and get through a narrow passage, we reach a new joint between blocks, more spacious and higher than the access one. In a NW direction we can descend through a bedding plane to the lowest point of the whole cavity; in a SE direction we will climb to the widest area of the cavity, with a large fallen block. Between the final blocks of the W area it is possible to progress a few more metres until ending in impassable passages.
