Characteristics

Location

About 300 metres before reaching the village of Abella de la Conca, on the left, a track leads to can Xinco and cal Borrell. Shortly before reaching the private entrance of the latter, a turn-off branches to the right with a sign indicating towards Sant Corneli. You pass close by cal Borrell and continue about 200 metres further to a left-hand bend with a good esplanade where cars can be left. To the NE, a path climbs until reaching the track that enters the gorge, and shortly after following it, on the right, a monolith rock appears (Pedra Ficada). We continue along the path for 700 metres where it widens into a track; we must keep climbing for about 100 metres more to observe on our right (hydrographic left) the large entrance of the Espluga del Ponsà no. 2. From here we must follow the cliff southwards and at a higher level in the middle of the wood, where we will find the entrance of the cavity almost at the end of the cliff.
