Description

Morphology

It is a rock shelter 25 metres wide by 7.86 metres deep and 8 metres high. The floor of the rock shelter lies on an inclined plane of 14º. Going up from Tivissa, at the bend in the path before the rock shelter, we find another rock shelter, this one circular in shape, about 5 metres in diameter but only about 3 metres deep; the two together are known as coves de la Llena.

Speleothems

Inside we find some drips falling from the ceiling.

Progression

Inside we also find a climbing route.

History

Known since time immemorial. It is cited in volume no. 7 of the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (1984), but both the location and the description given actually correspond to the coves de la Vilella.
