Location

From km 4 of the TV-2444 road (from Rodonyà to Can Ferrer de la Cogullada) a track sets off that we can follow for a few metres and where we will leave the car. It soon becomes a path that runs alongside the torrent de Pedrafita. After about 750 metres we will reach the back of la Cova. The path continues along this back and we soon cross a track. 300 metres further on the path climbs to our left towards a small cliff. Once at the cliff, the cave is to our right, following the path.

Description

Morphology

It opens to the outside through two entrances, separated by a rock pillar; the larger one measures 13.5 metres in width and a maximum height of 6 metres. The interior consists of a single chamber 10 metres deep. From the W side a crawlway emerges that quickly narrows. On the ceiling, about 3.5 metres from the floor, there is what appears to be a hanging gallery, unexplored.

History

Known since time immemorial, although it does not appear in any speleological bibliographic citation. Mentioned on some internet pages, it drew the interest of members of GE Badalona and EC Gràcia to visit it, which was done on 30 January 2014, carrying out the corresponding cataloguing work.
