Characteristics

Location

We will leave from the Castell de Penyafort located to the SW of Santa Margarida i els Monjos along the paved track that surrounds it and heads towards the SW. We will pass a group of houses (Cal Noi de Bellestar) and take a new track on the left in a SE direction towards the Senabra; before reaching it we take a new path on the right that brings us close to the side of some vineyards, at the barranc de Borrolleres. We will then continue on foot up the aforementioned ravine for approximately some 700m; the cavity is found on the left hydrographic slope of the ravine at the base of a small cliff.

Description

Morphology

A wide rock shelter of considerable amplitude of porch with 21m of width but of low height, it has an average of approximately 1.5m; moreover the small closing wall makes it quite discreet externally and gives hints of a livestock use in the past.

In the NW area next to the access, there are two small vertical potholes, impassable and of short length. Towards the back of the rock shelter, in the SE area, we find the innermost area of the cavity with 11m of length.
