A 65-metre-long cave in the Montsec de Rúbies, in Gavet de la Conca, explored by the GIE del CE de Gràcia in August 1966.

Location

From Vilanova de Meià, once past the Pas Nou, we will take the track heading towards Sant Salvador de Toló; we must take the first turning we find on the left, which will bring us to the Mas de Currolda. From here we must follow a half-lost path through the woods heading south-west towards the Cinglo de Currolda; the cave is on the first terrace of this cliff.

Description

Morphology

The cave is 65 metres long. After about 20 metres of passage is the first and largest of the two chambers, which are joined by a 15-metre-long corridor. The second chamber measures 4x6 metres. At the end the gallery becomes impenetrable.

Speleothems

In the second chamber, measuring 4x6 metres, we find some lithogenic phenomena.

Explored by the GIE del CE de Gràcia in August 1966.
