Location

Follow the same itinerary described in the file for the balma of the same name. It is located a few tens of metres from the balma, towards the east.

It should be added that along the foot of the cingle there are a whole series of balmes and small caves, all of them of small dimensions, which have not been catalogued.

Description

Morphology

After some initial 3 m of overhang, there is an opening a couple of metres wide that leads into a low chamber with a ceiling in which one must advance very stooped, average height around one metre. The chamber has a maximum width of 6 metres. Total route, 14 m.

Speleothems

The most notable characteristic is the presence of formations that subdivide the chamber and give it a particular beauty.

History

Cavities known to local hikers and some people of the country. Mentioned in the description of some hiking itineraries since they are next to a path, although precarious and very little frequented.

Among the hiking itineraries we will mention the book Itineraris de l'Alta Garrotxa (II), by Joaquim Agustí Bassols, year 1986.

The Cova dels Encantats appears in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (Vol.3, year 2009) by Jordi de Valles, limited to reproducing the description made by Joaquim Agustí in his book.
