Location

To the east of Rofes there is a cluster of houses called les Barraques.

From there one accesses a track in a S direction; after covering about 575 metres and just passing under a power line, we will leave the car and continue on the right of the track along a path that will lead us to the cave. The path continues to the font de la Rosella.

Description

Morphology

Formed by a single gallery, slightly ascending, 10 metres long and 3 metres wide at the back. The average height is 2.5 metres.

Hydrology

The cave is very dry.

Other details

The cave is completely blackened by the large number of fires that were made many years ago.

History

Known since remote times. The only data we have are those published by members of the GREV-Biblioteca-Museu Víctor Balaguer (Vilanova i la Geltrú) who visited it in 1985.

It should not be confused with the Cova Rosella, in Torrebusqueta, also in the municipality of La Llacuna.
