A group of three small caves with about 80 m of passage in Sant Llorenç del Munt, with difficult-to-access entrances.

Characteristics

Location

Going along the path of the Carena del Pagès (Montcau – la Mola), past the turn-offs to the avenc del Daví and then the one that descends to Can Pèlags via the Canal del Pi Tort, further on you must take the path on the left that goes into the Canal Fonda. Between the Turó del Boc and the Turó de les Nou Cabres, on the left of the path and climbing up at the foot of the upper crag, you reach the entrances of the cavity, after a difficult approach.

Approximate coordinates of low precision (GPS devices at the foot of the crags are not very reliable).

Description

Morphology

A group of three individual cavities hanging from the crag. The one situated furthest west is a slightly ascending passage that after about 10 metres of passage meets a short perpendicular gallery of short length. Through the other entrance you also enter an ascending passage that after a few metres divides into two independent galleries; the left-hand one is a little more than 20 metres long and along part of its course has an upper floor at mid-height. The right-hand one goes in about 15 metres and halfway along its course a short passage appears that ends in a window overlooking the crag.

History

The oldest reference we have is that of the exploration by the GES – CMB in December 1965, which they publish in their catalogue of Sant Llorenç del Munt (1974) although they place it further east, specifically at the Canal del Trull.
