Description

Morphology

The dimensions of the cova del Cabró are small. Its entrance, triangular in shape, does not exceed half a metre in height. No survey is available, so the exact dimensions are unknown.

Progression

Probably the easiest route is the one that starts at the canal de Santa Agnès. Shortly after the hermitage (if descending from the Morral del Drac) or shortly before it (if ascending from the Dalmau), one must follow the path that, passing between the turons de Nou Cabre and el Boc, ends at the canal Fonda.

There is no need to go that far. About a hundred metres after the junction of the canal de Santa Agnès the path crosses a small torrent bed that lies between some crags and the turó del Cabrit. One must climb up through the middle of the wood between the torrent bed and the walls of the Cabrits. Some seventy metres higher up, when the bed runs very close to the turó, one passes below the foradades (this time indeed so named) del Cabrit.

Continuing the ascent just some twenty metres, a lateral strip of vegetation begins to be seen on the right that appears to go around the turó above the area of the foradades. At the point where this strip and the torrent bed meet, a small ledge begins. Following it to the right, between the trunks of some trees, one reaches a flat of sand where the Cova del Cabró is located.

To go inside and make its short traverse one must go on all fours.
