We will start from Cambrils along the road that goes to Alinyà; at the collada de Llinars we will turn left onto the forest track that climbs to the pla de les Guàrdies heading south, and at the collada de les Guàrdies we will park the car in the most suitable place.

From here we will continue on foot along the forest track that climbs heading north-west, gradually leaving the ridge and descending along a steep slope that turns into a ridge as far as the collada dels Obacs.

Here we will leave the track, which changes direction radically and descends towards les Anoves. We will continue south along the ridge, and about a hundred metres away on the left, some twenty metres below us, and hidden by thorny burnet, we will find, beside a cade juniper, the avenc del Xato.
