From Artesa de Segre, heading up towards Comiols on the C-1412b road, a few metres before kilometre 28 and at the height of Cal Garramitxo we will turn right onto a paved track, at 150 metres we will turn 180º to the right onto a dirt track, at 330 metres always counting from the start we will follow the left-hand track, at 1760 metres we will follow the left-hand track, at 2680 metres we will reach a crossroads of 4 paths, we will follow the middle one, that is, straight ahead; at approximately 3330 metres we will follow the left-hand track, which we must follow until totalling some 8 kilometres, after passing the Cogulló de Sant Quiri and once we have skirted the serra de la Conca we find a track on the right that descends rapidly to el Cerdanyés and Cal Batalla. From here the conglomerate hill of the Castell de Tarabau is visible, on the right bank of the riu Rialp and above it. If one manages to find the path that climbs up it, we will reach the mouth located below and in front of the archway that marks the only entrance to the Castell.
