From Mont-ral we will follow the camí de la Foradada, which passes through the Serrat de l'Avenc. Once we have passed the avenc de l'Os and, further on, the turn-off to the avenc del Teix, we will find a path on the right (ETRS89 X:339688; Y:4572438). We will follow this path for 250 metres; at this point, on the left of the path, we will find a depression in the ground where, inside and close to the foot of the cliff, there is the avenc de la Pipa. We will continue along the path and soon find a landslide passage where there are some planks with a handrail rope that make the passage easier; a few metres further on we reach the junction of the path that comes up from the Teix mil·lenari; we will continue to the right, downhill, and soon the path becomes flat and we find on the right the large entrance of the avenc del camí del Teix; we continue a little further and find on the right the avenc nº 3 del Camí del Teix; the path descends and places us in a kind of large rocky trench where, a little further on, we would find the Teix mil·lenari; in the large trench we will leave the path to continue through the middle of the forest and follow the base of the cliff in a westerly direction, opposite to the one we had been following, for about 80 metres, where we will find the entrance at the base of the cliff wall.

It can also be reached from Mont-ral via the camí vell de la Cadeneta and through the area known as the avencs de Feliu and the Teix Mil·lenari; this path is a little shorter in distance than the previous one, but on the other hand it takes longer, since one has to keep climbing and descending a series of blocks that slow down the pace.
