A 16-metre-deep pit in La Febró, explored and surveyed by the GIEM of the Club Excursionista de Montblanc on 16 June 1993.

Characteristics

Location

From Capafonts, we will follow the TV-7041 road towards Prades; at kilometre 25.36 we will turn left to follow the track heading to the Motllats. After travelling 1.22 kilometres, at the Pla de l'Ermitanet we will find a hut where we can leave the vehicle. We will follow the track 60 metres further on, where a faint track branches off to the right and will lead us to a valley with old cultivated fields. We will go up the valley in a N direction, where we will find some cairns that lead to the avenc d'en Pep Miquel; from here we will continue in a N direction for 61 metres, where we will find the avenc d'en Casimiro.

Description

Morphology

The entrance is quite small and narrow, although afterwards it widens noticeably, but it narrows again at its bottom. Although it continues, it would be difficult to try to get past it. The depth is 16.50 metres.

History

The only data we have are those provided by the GIEM of the Club Excursionista de Montblanc, which explored and surveyed it on 16 June 1993. According to what the current owner of this land where the cavity is located explained to us, en Casimiro was the former owner of these lands.
