A 3.5 m deep pothole in la Febró (Baix Camp), discovered and explored by GIEM – CE Montblanc on 19 June 1993.

Characteristics

Location

From Capafonts, we will follow the TV-7041 road towards Prades; at kilometre 25.36 we will turn left to follow the track heading to els Motllats. After travelling 1.22 kilometres, at the Pla de l'Ermitanet we will find a hut where we can leave the vehicle. We will follow the track 60 metres further on, where a faint track branches off to the right and will lead us to a valley with old cultivated fields; we will go up the valley in a N direction and find some cairns that lead to the cavity.

Description

Morphology

Made up of a single small pothole 3.5 metres deep. The bottom is covered by debris.

Progression

It can be descended easily without any kind of equipment. A dig would be possible, although difficult.

History

Discovered and explored by members of GIEM – CE Montblanc on 19 June 1993.
