Morphology
A wide rock shelter 16.5 metres wide and up to 9 metres deep, it has a height of just over 6 metres.
History
The Cova dels Coloms appears in almost all speleological catalogues, since it is a rock shelter that has always been known but there was no further information; in fact, in the Espeleològic de Catalunya catalogue (1984), it is wrongly cited under the synonym cova de la Vila.
However, if we turn to the publication that Albert Manent made in 1967 on the toponymy of La Febró, and for which he won the Eduard Brossa prize of the Societat Catalana de Geografia, we find that he cites, based on the interrogations made to the elderly people of the village, the cova dels Coloms, saying that there is the one of Dalt and the one of Baix, therefore there were two caves and not just one. Based on this information, a search was made until it was found.
