Capçanes, a municipality in the Priorat, has 7 inventoried caves, all of them catalogued as Cova. Together they total 162 m of length and reach a maximum depth of 35 m. The lithologies present are Limestone (6) and Travertine (1).
Cova de les Dues Boques is the longest cavity, at 55 m, and also the deepest, at 35 m; it is a narrow fissure with two connected entrances and a shaft of very small dimensions. Cova del Bassot, with 40 m of length, opens on the left slope of the Vall de Capçanes. Other notable cavities are la Fou de Capçanes, a known spring with a descending ramp, pools of water and a sump explored underwater, and Forat de Llaberia, at 16 m, with two entrances on the serra de Llaberia.
Among the cavities of shorter length are Cova del Tortó, at 10 m, with a single entrance and a 2 m crawlway, and Cova Negra, at 8 m, known since time immemorial and visited on 5 July 2014.
