Location

The cavity is located near the Pla dels Ginebrers, in the serra de l'Obac (Vacarisses). From the Casa Vella de l'Obac, follow the path in a westerly direction, very close to the high-voltage line. About 300 metres west of the coll de Pals and slightly below the Pla dels Ginebrers is the entrance of the cavity. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

Small cavity with two entrances. One of them is impassable and is used by badgers to enter. The other, in the form of a small shaft with a drop of about 2 metres, has dimensions of 0.80 by 0.35 metres. Through this entrance it is possible to reach a lower gallery 10 metres long.

Other details

The floor has a large quantity of badger excrement.

History

The first exploration was carried out by members of the SIS of the Centre Excursionista de Terrassa on 11 July 1971. The cavity had been discovered by Antoni Gil, who at that time was the tenant farmer of the Casa de l'Obac.
