Description
Morphology
A group of parallel fissures on the western crag of the pla de les Roques Grans. The entrance leads into a ramp-like gallery through which one enters a first stretch of gallery whose ceiling is formed by an accumulation of large blocks that later disappear as it becomes open to the sky, always maintaining the same width. The authors of the survey give a total length of the whole fissure of 241 metres but provide no data on the vertical drop. From the sections accompanying the survey we believe it may reach 15-20 metres in depth.
Speleothems
In some places small lithogenic forms can be observed.
Progression
Before reaching the end of the fissure, one can climb between blocks to the upper level of the crag.
History
Fissures cited by J. Virella in his list of cavities of the Penedès (1978). The only known data are those provided by members of SIRE – UEC Sants, who explored and surveyed them in November 1982.
