Description

Morphology

Entrance A is 1.35×1 metres. The shaft is 4.20 metres. The gallery is 2.80 metres wide at this point. The left-hand gallery ends at 6.70 metres. The parallel gallery is about 4 metres long. The triangular crawl is 0.75×0.50 metres. The right-hand gallery is about 11 metres long, 1.60 metres wide and has a maximum height of 3.55 metres. The passage is 1×1.28 metres.

Progression

If we enter through the higher one (entrance A), we will descend a r-1.60; a small ramp leads us to a 4.20-metre shaft, downclimbable with a little care. This small shaft leaves us in a gallery; on the opposite wall we find a funnel that takes us to the deepest point of the cave: -11 metres. If we head to the left, the gallery ends at 6.70 metres; in this stretch there is a parallel gallery, to our left, about 4 metres long, accessed through a triangular crawl of 0.75×0.50 metres that returns to the gallery further on through a narrow fissure. If from the base of the shaft we head to the right, we will advance along a gallery about 11 metres long, 1.60 metres wide and with a maximum height of 3.55 metres. A passage of 1×1.28 metres leads us to climb 2.50 metres to reach the base of the small shaft of the second entrance (entrance B); climbing a r+1.90 we come out to the exterior.

Other details

Entrances opened by digging; they remain covered by snow part of the year.

History

The cavity was located by the colleague Carles Miranda, and its entrances were opened by digging on the same day of the exploration (July 2011).
