Cova foradada (pierced cave) that gives access to the torrent de la Cova, undocumented and uncatalogued.

Characteristics

Location

On the BP-1103 road from Can Maçana to Santa Cecília, about 100 metres before arriving and before crossing the canal de Sant Jeroni, we find a car park on the left. We cross the road and go up some stairs with railings, follow the path and soon reach a junction with a sign panel and signpost, turn right following the GR, after about 500 metres of ascent we reach the second junction with an information board. We continue to the left along the Canal de la Font de la Llum, climbing steeply until reaching a small plateau; to the right is the way to the Font de la Llum, but we continue straight on upwards; the path is first stony and then climbs very steeply through a wooded area with loose soil; after about 45-50 minutes we reach the coll de Migdia, we cross over to the other side via the canal and after 180 metres we turn off to the right when we find a large cairn; the blue marks indicate the way; the path is narrow and in some places exposed. We pass a small water pool, the “Font de la Cadireta”; on the wall two small parallel caves serve as a reference; we must climb the path up to the col following yellow marks; at this point, when we see a cairn on the right, we leave the main path; we must head towards the wall with care as we have the cliff on the left; we follow the wall until we see a canal-ramp; we must climb a few steps of III, about 10 metres free, until we see the small opening of the cave in the ground on the right, almost stuck to the wall.

The approach time is one and a half hours over a route of 2.2km and a height gain of 689 metres.
