Location

Leave the car at km 12.2 on the road from Castellet to Vilanova i la Geltrú (BV-2115), from where a track (closed to vehicles) starts; follow it for 110 metres until you find on the right a path that runs parallel to the bottom of the Cova Fosca. Follow the path and after about 100 metres the cave is at the foot of the cliff we see on our right. There is no path to reach the cave, so it is necessary to climb a steep slope between the forest and the brambles. The two caves, about 4 metres apart, are difficult to locate, as they are quite hidden by the vegetation. They are about 50 metres to the NW of cave 25.

Description

Morphology

It consists of a single chamber entered through an opening 8 metres wide and 1.8 high. The floor slopes slightly downwards and the ceiling descends until it meets the floor.

History

Known since time immemorial. Excavated by Joan Bellmunt around the year 1956. Of the two caves of the Cabra, Joan Bellmunt only published the cavity that appears here with the number 1, since number 2 yielded no archaeological remains.
