Location

You have to climb up to l'Auferí as far as the flat area; the cavity is located in the middle of the flat area that lies below the Pòdol pit, in the burnt zone (data from 1996).

Approximate coordinates without much reliability. The coordinates provided in the publication would place the cavity 100 metres higher than the stated elevation.

Description

Morphology

The entrance presents a small downclimbable drop that connects with a short gallery of tiny dimensions, with no further options for continuation at either of its two ends.

History

Explored by the GELL around 1996.

In the survey the original name of “Cova del 2 de Maig” has been kept, while in the name of the cavity on the record sheet it has been changed to “DOS DE MAIG” in order to make searching in the database easier.
