Description

Morphology

The mouth is a small opening at ground level that leads to a narrow gallery which, after about 13 metres, opens into a hall about 12 metres long by 6 wide and a height between 1.5 and 2 metres. From here the cavity continues as a gallery of reduced section with a couple of points where the floor widens a little. The total length is 105 metres according to the most recent survey. We cannot specify the drop, which is not stated in either of the two surveys we know of.

Hydrology

Like its neighbours (Manel, Fondal and Frare) it is an old spring.

Progression

Later a very narrow flat-out passage was explored a few metres from the entrance and at the end point a very narrow passage was forced that led to a small final chamber.

History

Discovered after a dig that gave rise to the small entrance mouth, although we do not know who did it. The oldest exploration we know of is that of the GES – CMB in September 1960. At that time the estimated length was 70 metres. Towards the end of the 1960s, members of the GETIM (Terra i Mar de Sabadell) forced the passage of the flat-out passage near the entrance and the narrow passage of the final gallery. In 1970 a new survey was made by the newly created Espeleo Club de Sabadell.
