Description
Morphology
A small cave where, shortly after entering, it divides into two galleries that connect at the back. The estimated route is about 20 m. We do not have a survey and therefore do not know the exact dimensions of the cavity.
Speleothems
A good stretch of crawlway leads us to the inner chamber, where one can stand upright and enjoy a whole set of lithogenic formations: stalagmites, flags, columns, small flowstones...
History
The only data we know about this cave are those given by Pep Badia. We have very scant references from the year 1957, when members of the Agrupació Excursionista d'Amposta visited some cavities of Montsià and among others they mention: Cova del Mas de Comú. We do not know whether it could be the same cavity. We also have some notes provided by speleologists from Ulldecona in the 1970's about two cavities visited by them and located very close to the Mas de Comú: Cova i Avenc del Mas de Comú. Given the location, it does not seem that it could be the Cova del Pi. We have no further data either.
