Description

Morphology

Pit 22 m deep. Large entrance about 8 to 10 metres in diameter at the surface, which narrows until it opens into a 10-metre shaft.

Progression

The base of the shaft is almost entirely occupied by a snow deposit. A passage between the ice and the wall allows descent down a ramp that, in little more than a dozen metres, closes among small-sized debris.

History

Discovered and explored in August 1977 during the first campaign of the Société Spéléologique du Plantaurel.

Toponymy: According to the map, the sector where the pit is located is cited as: Comaviera, Coma Viera or Comabiera.
