Characteristics

Location

Once at the Prat Llong, which is reached from the Arp refuge by a track, we will walk to the right of the first doline we find, cross the esplanade almost perpendicularly in the direction of the first slopes of the Tossa Pelada. We will not have walked even five minutes when we find a new depression. We leave this one on our right and begin to climb through the forest; a few minutes into the climb we will find ourselves in front of the wide entrance of the pit.

Very approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

Small 17-metre-deep pit in La Vansa i Fórnols. The entrance, open on a steep slope, allows us to descend through its lower part without difficulty via a -11-metre shaft. The base of the shaft is occupied by snow; when during the thaw this diminishes at the back, a small circular chamber can be accessed. From the end farthest from the entrance a small gallery emerges that has been progressively cleared; this descends a few metres to a point where, to continue, it will be necessary to clear it again.
