Description

Morphology

A wide entrance about 4 metres in diameter that gives access to a shaft 17 metres deep of good dimensions. At one end of its base, a narrow passage leads to a short conduit that immediately opens out into a small pit 5 metres deep and of more reduced dimensions. At the bottom of this one can still continue along a short gallery of scanty dimensions where the cavity ends.

About 3 m from the start of the entrance shaft a small opening can be seen which everything indicates is the same conduit coming from the bottom of the small scramble and which proves to be impenetrable.

History

The first exploration was carried out by members of the ERE – CEC on 19 July 1970.

We had not heard of the cavity again until at the end of July 2023 Josep Guarro and Joan Carles Juderías visited it again. Previously, at the end of January 2023, Josep Guarro with the help of LIDAR cartography had located it surrounded by snow.

Although at first we had thought that the cavity had not been located since the first exploration, some old spits at the entrance reveal the presence of other explorers on an unknown date. Now 3 stainless steel parabolt anchors have been installed.

Bio
