Location

On the left slope of the Coma de la Comtessa, a torrent that descends between the Pedró dels Quatre Batlles and the Vulturó, a few metres above the torrent bed.

From the Coll de Jou, take the track leading to the refugi de la Bòfia; a few metres further on we can park without disturbing anyone. We will take the path that climbs the Vulturó, until reaching 2200 metres, where we can take a small path on the left that brings us close to the pit.

Very close by, to the right and a few metres higher up, there is an elongated depression: Pou de la Comtessa (X: 377068; Y: 4670434; Z: 2264 m) which descends only about 3 m.

Description

Morphology

The entrance shaft (P8) at about -2m presents a narrow section that makes passage difficult. At the base of the shaft a ramp opens that ends at -13m depth. A little before the end, there is a chimney of about +6m where, at mid-height, a window can be seen that could present a continuation.

History

Cavity located by Josep Guarro on 27 October 2019. At the entrance there is an installed spit, a sign that someone had been there before. Absolutely no information has been found about it, nor the name with which the cavity was supposedly to be named.

Finally, on 30 August 2020 he returns with Joan Carles Juderias and Jordi Perera, carrying out the exploration and the survey.
