Avenc Petit del Solei de la Pedrosa

Avenc de 6 metres de fondària a la cala Pedrosa, l'Estartit (Torroella de Montgrí).

Torroella de Montgrí • Baix Empordà7m6m

A 6-metre-deep pit at cala Pedrosa, l'Estartit (Torroella de Montgrí), known since olden times by the local people.

Characteristics

Location

From l'Estartit we will follow the camí de la Torre Ponça (this path is closed to vehicles during the summer). Before reaching the Torre Ponça we will turn right onto an asphalted road until we reach a crossroads already on the plain; we will follow the road to the left until we reach the third turning on the right. This path leads to cala Pedrosa and to Cala Ferriol, but if travelling by vehicle, it is better to ignore this path and continue along the road 75 metres further on, where we will follow the track on the right that heads towards l'Escala. After covering 1,300 metres, at this point we will turn right for 50 metres, where we will link up with a track that we will follow to the right. After 400 metres we will reach a crossroads, where the path indicated before but not recommended for vehicles also leads. We will continue to the left until a crossroads where there is a little space to leave the vehicle. We will continue to the right along the path that descends in the direction of Cala Pedrosa; after covering 240 metres, we will turn 10 metres to the left, where we will find the cavity.
