Location

In the Serra del Cairat, near the Coll de Cassot. We must follow the same itinerary as to go to the Avenc Montserrat and the Avenc del Fum. From the latter we must follow about 30 metres towards the S and we should find the pits of the Clast. All three are arranged from N to S. The northernmost is the Avenc III del Clast, a few metres further on is the Avenc del Clast and continuing towards the S, very close by, is the Avenc II del Clast. Approximate coordinates and very difficult location due to the exuberant vegetation that covers the whole area. The topography section includes a map prepared by Xavier Badiella on which most of the cavities of the area are located and which can help in their location.

Description

Morphology

The cavity forms a short gallery in the shape of a cave where on the left-hand side, after descending a short drop, one can follow a few more metres of narrower gallery that become difficult to advance through.

Progression

From the Avenc del Fum one must follow about 30 metres towards the S to find the pits of the Clast. Inside, on the left-hand side, after descending a short drop, one can follow a few more metres of narrower gallery that become difficult to advance through.

No topography is available.

History

The only reference we have of this cavity is the one made by members of the SIS – CE Terrassa who explored it in January 1985 during the cataloguing work of the area.
